09 Civic Si

Nice looking car. One thing I'm not to crazy about is the chrome trim they added to the trunk above the license plate. Other then that, nice car.

2009 Acura RL

Is Acura's attempt to try to increase sales of the RL going to be enough? The 2009 RL is aiming more towards a more agressive look, which has been lacking in previous years. The engine has been redesigned as well: displacement is bumped up to 3.7 liters, bringing V-6 output to an even 300 hp with torque at 271 lb-ft. A big change from the previous year, with a displacement of only 3.5 liters and 290 hp, with torque at 256 lb-ft. But how will this play in when everyone is trying to "go green".

While I thought the front of the car was decent looking, besides that chrome plate across the grille, what really hit it off for me was the interior. A sophisticated, yet clean look writes "luxury" all over this car. Though it hasn't changed much from 2008, a few things have been redesigned here and there to make it even more appealing.

The rear of the car also got a more agressive make-over. Newly designed tail-lights along with the rear bumper offer a more fierce look.

Though I've heared many different opinions about the 2009 Acura RL, mostly bad, I believe it should pick up the sales at least more than previous years.

New Hot Wheels Honda Racer

"Honda is announcing the arrival of the Honda Racer™, a much-anticipated 1/64th scale Hot Wheels® car designed by Honda R&D Americas, Inc., in Torrance. The Honda model, along with designs from five additional automakers, were selected as part of the Hot WheelsDesigner's Challenge™ as a way to celebrate the die-cast brand's 40th anniversary. The Honda Racer arrives on store shelves in May 2008."

2009 Honda Pilot

"Okay, so functionally the 2009 Honda Pilot is a strong player in the crossover segment. It's roomy, has more power and better gas mileage than its predecessor, and it's built like, well, a Honda. But why oh why does it have to look like it was designed on the back of an envelope with a set-square and a pencil?"-MotorTrend

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to agree with MotorTrend on this one. The new Pilot looks as if it were designed to be futuristic, yet at the same time, not. The grille looks as if it were designed by a robot or something, or for a robot. There's too many sharp angles on the front of the vehicle, and none to accompany them in the back. The fender flares are round, and the rear of the Pilot is round(kind of), so it's like two different vehicles crammed into one. But it does have a Honda badge on the front, that's always a positive!

2010 Honda/Acura NSX ready for production

"By most accounts, Honda originally planned to show off the next generation NSX to the seething throngs at last year's Tokyo Motor Show. But due to the less-than-positive reception the Advanced Sports Car concept garnered at the Detroit show, Honda's designers headed back to the drawing board to redesign the front clip housing the 550 hp, 4.5-liter V10.

Now, Autocar has gotten word from a Honda insider that the NSX is bound for the 2009 Tokyo show, sporting a new front end that "has Chevrolet Corvette undertones" and is slated to for production in the fall of 2010.

The new NSX will supposedly kick off Honda's first serious attempt at producing rear-wheel-drive vehicles to rival BMW, Mercedes, Lexus and Infiniti, including new platforms that will underpin Acura's larger sedan offerings and an S2000-based Acura sports car that takes aim at the Mercedes SLK. The launch of Acura's 7-series fighter isn't due to make an appearance until 2015. For Honda' sake, let's hope they can expedite development to make it happen around the turn of the decade."

The NSX was first available in 1990, and they continued production until 2005. The car maintained the same look throughout every year, with a few things changing here and there. Honda basically started from scratch with this car, and I think they should have at least carried on a few of the older NSX's features. It's still something I would drive if I had the money.

Honda's ASIMO robot is scheduled to conduct DSO

On May 3rd, Honda's ASIMO robot will be set to conduct the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. What do you have to say about that Ford? How about you Chevy? Yeah that's what I thought. ASIMO is performing with the ever so talented Yo-Yo Ma. You can't stop Honda. While they are building amazing automobiles, they still have some spare time left over to program a robot to conduct an orchestra. Thumbs up to you Honda.

Secret Honda Museum

"At first glance, you wouldn't suspect anything out of the ordinary is lurking inside the nondescript building in Torrance, California. But step through the doors, and a massive warehouse filled with a cornucopia of significant Hondas and Acuras emerges - each vehicle with a story to tell." -Motortrend
